As our international team in charge of running certification projects for Energy Systems, Inverters, EV chargers, industrial truck continues to grow, we are looking for a Product Certification Engineer to join the team based in Carugate (MI).
- Are you an Electrical, Electronics or Automation Engineer with experience working with power electronics, energy distribution, electrical products, wiring diagrams?
- Do you have experience in or an understanding ofsafety testing to ensure product compliance with European and international standards?

Responsabilità
Dedicated to our eMobility & Energy Systems Clients, you will be managing and delivering new engineering projects from start to finish, throughout the whole project lifecycle.
You will know ULs certification systems, services and processes well to partner with and assist our customers in their product safety certification journey.
You will complete work that matters!
As a Product Certification Engineer you will:
- Determine project scope, develop a preliminary plan of investigation, determine project specifications such as cost, time, and sample requirements by analyzing client input, available supplemental data, and product construction.
- Initiate communication with clients to promote and explain the benefits of new and existing services. Follow up on contacts from clients. Communicate with clients to discuss technical issues, explain UL procedures and requirements, convey project cost, and negotiate completion date and sample requirements. Act to address client concerns and to resolve client issues.
- Establishe appropriate test programs by reviewing files and manufacturer's information, examining samples, and applying UL requirements. Familiar with applicable standards, company manuals and appropriate technical literature, examine samples for compliance with UL requirements and notify client of any areas in which the product is not in compliance or of any changes in project scope or specifications.
- Product Verification and Compliance for Inverters and for EV chargers products based on the most recent standards UL 1741, UL 2202, UL 2594 and IEC 61851.
- Coordinate laboratory activities by preparing data sheets and instructions to technicians, scheduling and reviewing work of laboratory technicians and engineering assistants, and establishing completion dates.
- Communicate project status and results to clients through frequent contact and by preparing reports.
- Integrate continuous improvement concepts and techniques.
- Cooperate with an international technical experts on complex products evaluation and standard interpretation.
Qualifiche
- University Degree in Electrical, Electronics or Automation Engineering or bachelor of professional electrical engineering.
- Expertise in power electronics, energy distribution, electrical products, wiring diagrams
- Passionate about Inverters, eMobility and EV chargers and seeing new technologies as a motivating challenge
- Good understanding of the correlation inverters, batteries cells and modules and battery management systems in the application or large format batteries
- Knowledge about current National and International Standards which applies for such product types is desirable
- Good Project Management skills and demonstrated ability to handle projects in areas of expertise
- Customer centric, agile, collaborative
- Proficiency in spoken and written English. (German is a plus)
- Availability to travel to support business and technical development
