ChampionX is seeking a Product Line Manager for the Theta business unit and located in Houston TX. As the Product Line Manager for the Theta software business, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the direction and success of our digital products for ChampionX. You will be responsible for the entire lifecycle of the software platform, from commercial launch to ongoing optimization. This role requires a strategic thinker with a deep understanding of market trends, customer needs, and a proven track record of managing successful software products, and an ability to work with multiple business stakeholders on requirements and collaborate.

What You Will Do:

  • Product Strategy: Develop and execute a comprehensive product strategy for the software platform, aligning with overall business goals and market trends. This will need to have inputs from different digital businesses within PAT division of ChampionX, and convert the business needs into a common roadmap, specifications, and development/optimization plan.

  • Market Research: Conduct thorough market research to identify customer needs, competitive landscape, and emerging opportunities. Use this information to inform product decisions and strategies.

  • Roadmap Planning: Create and manage the product roadmap, outlining key features, enhancements, and updates. Prioritize features based on customer impact and business value.

  • Cross-functional Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams including development, marketing, sales, and customer support to ensure seamless coordination and communication throughout the product lifecycle.

  • Product Development: Oversee the development process, ensuring timely delivery of high-quality features. Collaborate with the development team to define product requirements and specifications.

  • Launch and Marketing: Coordinate product launches and collaborate with the marketing team to develop effective go-to-market strategies. Provide training and support to the sales team to maximize product adoption.

  • Performance Monitoring: Implement key performance indicators (KPIs) and regularly analyze product performance. Identify opportunities for improvement and optimization.

  • Customer Feedback: Act as the voice of the customer, gathering feedback through various channels and using it to drive product enhancements and improvements.

  • Budget Management: Develop and manage the product line budget, ensuring optimal resource allocation and cost-effectiveness.

  • People Leadership: Mentor and inspire a technology team of product line managers and software engineer. Motivate others, build consensus, and facilitate effective teamwork towards achieving strategic goals.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field; MBA or equivalent experience is a plus.

  • Experience in O&G, and/or artificial lift is a plus.

  • Proven experience (5 years) in product management for software platforms.

  • Solid understanding of software development processes and methodologies.

  • Ability to travel up to 20% if not in the Bakersfield area.
