At Nyco Products, the Production Manager is a very important position. Constantly on the move, you’ll be responsible for assisting with the overall operation of the department and production processes. You’ll focus on Safety, Productivity, and Quality Assurance using LEAN techniques for troubleshooting, process improvement and increasing production to deliver and sustain profitable growth. Driven to be accurate in everything you do, if the product doesn’t match the work order, you’re on the phone. If safety and security is sacrificed, you’re solving the problem. If it’s not right, you won’t stop until it is.

We’re looking for the right Production Manager who spends each day challenging themself and others on the team. Because, at the end of the day, your name is on your work, and you stand behind it.

Production Manager Essential Responsibilities:

• Assign work to staff, manage daily operations, provide coaching and training, assist with performance evaluations, plan staff development.
• Collaborate with the Production Manager to optimize the allocation of human and equipment resources.
• Collaborate with the Production Manager to set and execute short-term and long-term production goals for the department.
• Coordinate and plan production priorities, workflow and schedule.
• Ensure that all equipment, materials, and supplies are readily and continuously available to execute the production plan.
• Ensure safety procedures are followed to reduce accidents, incidents, and hazards.
• Ensure production processes and quality standards are carried out in accordance with company policies and procedures.
• Participate in Lean Improvement and cost reduction projects.
• Provide input on SOP’s, work instructions, and checklists for key processes.
• Monitor key performance indicators. Make recommendations to address deficiencies and further capitalize on strengths.
• Collaborate with HR to interview, hire and train new employees.

 Production Manager Qualifications:

• Able to work both independently and with a team, generating results with general/minimal guidance from management.
• Green Belt Certification preferred.
• Good understanding of Lean manufacturing principles.
• Demonstrated ability to effectively apply MS Excel and other analysis tools to real-world problem-solving.
• Flexible, innovative and comfortable in setting own priorities.
