Description

Location: Vineland, New Jersey

Travel Requirements: While this position will not require frequent travel, it is expected that the chosen applicant be onsite in South Carolina to train for 4-6 weeks ahead of assuming the role in the satellite facility.

Objective: Manage the production process to ensure orders are completed safely and on schedule. This position will be located in a satellite facility and will be responsible for reporting back to the corporate location in South Carolina.

  • Ensure all health and safety standards are met and enforced and that all employees are trained properly to prevent accidents.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the completion of orders in accordance with company and customer requirements.
  • Analyze productivity, workflow, methods and procedures, making recommendations to operations as appropriate.
  • Enforce all company policies and plant rules, to include but not limited to human safety, food safety, workforce accountability, and applicable standard operating procedures.
  • Work alongside plant management to assist in continuous improvement efforts related to equipment performance, quality of product, and process improvement.
  • Communicate regularly with the Purchasing group at the SC location to ensure inventory, including raw product and packaging, is accurate and production needs are met.
  • Utilize RedZone to track performance metrics and provide visibility to SC location.
  • Submit weekly reports to SVP of Operations outlining weekly productivity, yield, and all other applicable information.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications


Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent work experience.
  • 4+ years production/manufacturing experience, food manufacturingexperience is a plus
  • 3+ years supervising or leading teams.
  • Knowledge of the basic elements of Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) in a manufacturing environment and the ability to apply them.
  • Position requires proven ability to effectively interface with all levels of management, technical and administrative staff
  • Must be detail-oriented and enjoy a dynamic ever-changing environment.
  • Must have a desire for achieving excellence in customer satisfaction, process and product quality and reliability.
  • Must be detail-oriented , able to prioritize in an ever-changing environment, and delegate appropriately
  • Ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule.
