Production Supervisor

This person is responsible for the execution of the Olathe Production plan and the management of the hourly production employees on 3rd shift. This position is critical for delivery of product to meet customer demands in an efficient manner.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Department Supervision

  • Maintain and approve weekly attendance record in Kronos
  • Monitor and enforce Company policies as related to the hourly Production workforce
  • Oversee the day-to-day activities on the shop floor; resolving assembly issues, component shortages, shifting manpower needs
  • Manage conflicts and Employee relations
  • Balance workforce to meet monthly production plan by accounting for vacation, changing forecast and product family
  • Build a flexible workforce by cross training employees
  • Conduct performance appraisals and provide regular performance feedback and development opportunities to team
  • Ensuring departmental safety objectives

Production

  • Drive change and results
  • Train and coach team members to their full potential
  • Work with Engineering, QC and Purchasing to resolve production and quality issues as they occur
  • Monitor, measure and address production efficiency rating on daily, weekly, monthly basis

HOS Activities

  • Performing audits; 5S, Safety and ISO as scheduled
  • Assist in the development, documentation and compliance of standard work in all production areas
  • Work with Engineering, QC and Purchasing to resolve production and quality issues as they occur

CRITICAL FUNCTIONAL SKILLS & KNOWLEDGE

  • Strong knowledge of HCP products
  • Strong knowledge of tools and assembly procedures
  • Working knowledge of company computer system
  • Working knowledge of HCP business dynamics

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE

  • 3-5 years working experience in a production environment
  • 3 or more years of Supervisor experience

WORKING CONDITIONS

  • Constant exposure to Production environment
  • Heavy Computer use
  • Daily, weekly, monthly and annual deadlines
