ABOUT THIS POSITION
KBR requires a Project Manager, located in the Dayton, OH, area to support the Air Force Research Laboratory’s (AFRL) Trusted Electronics Branch (RYDT) planning and execution activities. The candidate must work well with a widely dispersed team and be assertive in capturing key inputs and data to incorporate into various products, processes, and programs on a daily basis. The candidate must also have excellent communication skills (written, verbal, and active listening). Proficiency with developing presentations (PowerPoint) and written documents for executive-level review and consumption is necessary. Familiarity with DoD 5000.02 acquisition policies and processes, a plus, but not required. Likewise, familiarity with DoD and international military protocols, customs, and courtesies, is a plus, but not required.
Duties include but are not limited to:
Managing the day-to-day activities of the team
Delegating tasks to team members
Organizing workflow and ensuring that employees understand their duties or delegated tasks
Monitoring employee productivity and providing constructive feedback and coaching
Performs analytical, planning, presentation, and problem-solving, gains internal support to operate and establish strong working relationships with customers, technical staff, managers, and peers
Perform a range of program management activities, such as: gathering a variety of program information; conducting analyses; developing program strategies; tracking, and scheduling; establishing and maintaining databases
Developing program documentation to support Request for Proposal, author Statement of Works for subcontractors
Ensure program requirements are within compliance with the prescribed directives and are planned to a high level of detail for execution
Manage funding, full time employee performance, subcontractor on-boarding and execution, deliverable submission, cost/schedule/performance, and closeout activities
Builds a solid business base with military customers and effectively motivates and directs Contractor technical and support staff personnel
Ability to brief program requirements and schedules to a variety of customers
Coordinating the efforts and maintained effective working relationships with a myriad of base officials
Conducting quarterly performance reviews
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:
Bachelor's degree in business related field and minimum five years’ experience
DoD Clearance Requirement: Secret eligibility
Must be a US Citizen
Self-starter with excellent writing and communication skills is a must
The Project Manager must demonstrate comprehensive experience and knowledge of:
Business Analyst tactics, techniques, and procedures
Managing project cost, schedule, and performance
Identifying and developing project requirements
Working with dispersed teams to produce documents and presentations for stakeholder consumption
Engaging with customers at both working and senior levels
Developing and executing project/program plans from tasking through completion using common IT tools and practices
Strong computer skills and proficiency with Microsoft Office Applications
The Candidate will have to show practical and demonstrated program management skills with emphasis on communication and stakeholder engagement with the following required skills:
