What does the Project Manager do?
The Project Manager is responsible for the overall landscaping operation of the contract. The Project Manager ensures PWS in a safe and productive manner, while ensuring that the site is adhering to all company policies and that all areas are completed in accordance with rules.
Role and Responsibilities
- Responsible for day to day running of the project
- Direct oversight of all employees
- Ensure QC and SSHO are doing their daily, weekly, and monthly assignments
- Responsible for meeting with customer contracts on a regular basis (weekly minimum)
- Must ensure that all vehicles and equipment are being tracked, serviced and documents at all times
- Supervises landscaping employees and mechanics in various locations throughout the base.
- Contacts COR daily regarding any issues or changes.
- Perform Quality control for the entire site and turn in daily reports to COR no later than 0800 hours.
- Send daily reports with productivity analysis to Regional Manager.
- Perform weekly safety inspections as directed by our training manuals and training calendar.
- Perform daily safety inspections.
- Track all materials and labor hours daily.
- Give Crew Leaders and Supervisors goals and daily schedules and ensure staff achieves said goals.
- Ensure all staff is adhering to company policies and perform disciplinary action in coordination with Regional Manager
- Send all receipts and invoices directly to company headquarters.
- Comply with all Federal, State and Local regulatory standards and procedures.
- Ensure that equipment is in safe operating condition and that all safe guards are in place.
- Thorough knowledge of contract statement of work and adherence to performance standards.
- Orientation of all program participants/employees on rules and regulation of the facility and company.
- Record, monitor, and ensure all direct labor staff are punching in and out of shifts correctly.
- Manage operation efficiently and safely while creating higher productivity standards.
- Ensure site is operating in accordance with budget that has been created.
- Responsible for direct hiring and keeping up site ratios
Essential Job Functions
- Must be able to work all Microsoft applications at an expert level
- Must be able to write and read at an expert level
- Must have strong attention to detail
- Must be able to run a large Landscaping project and have knowledge of landscape equipment
