Your Role: What you'll be doing
- This opportunity can either reside at ULA’s Headquarters in Denver, CO, or Launch Operations Facility in Cape Canaveral, FL.
- As a Propulsion Systems Engineer for the ULA Software Department you will be performing requirements development, test, and debugging of propulsion system software for automated launch site command, control, & communication.
- You will be applying fluids, thermodynamic, mechanical systems design, and systems engineering principles to develop and test requirements for software that ensures the health and safety of the launch crew and launch vehicle during critical launch operations.
- You will engage with a highly collaborative team of Product Owners, Technology Architects, Airborne and Ground Hardware Design Engineers, Launch Site Operators and Software Developers.
- You will work with users to design intuitive user interfaces for control of launch site and vehicle hardware.
- This is a Systems Engineering position. It does not involve writing software code.

Your Background: What skills you'll need
- A Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related technical field from an accredited college or university is required.
- Four years of directly related exempt work experience may be used to satisfy the bachelor’s degree requirement.
- Experience in the design, operation, and/or control of pneumatic systems or cryogenic fluid systems that are used to transfer commodities is preferred.
- Experience with design, operation, and/or control of hardware systems is preferred.
- Ability to assess and interpret engineering drawings, schematics, specifications, and industry/government standards is preferred.
- Experience in system testing is preferred.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Experience working in a team environment

Summary Salary Range (Colorado Only)
$89,356 - $139,632Please note that the salary information shown above is a general guideline only. Salaries are based upon a candidate’s experience and qualifications, as well as internal equity, market and business considerations. Employees may be eligible for a discretionary annual bonus in addition to base pay.
