JOB PURPOSE

We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Quality Supervisor to join our team. The Quality Supervisor will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of the quality control process, ensuring that our products meet the highest standards of quality and reliability. The ideal candidate has a strong background in quality assurance, excellent leadership skills, and a commitment to continuous improvement.

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Develop and implement quality control procedures and policies to ensure compliance with industry standards and customer requirements.

  • Oversee the inspection and testing of incoming materials, in-process components, and finished products to ensure they meet established quality criteria.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including production, engineering, and procurement, to address quality issues and implement corrective actions.

  • Train and guide quality control personnel on inspection techniques, quality standards, and documentation requirements.

  • Conduct regular audits and reviews of quality control processes, identifying areas for improvement and implementing effective solutions.

  • Establish and maintain key quality performance indicators (KPIs), tracking and reporting on metrics to monitor quality trends and drive continuous improvement.

  • Investigate customer complaints and internal non-conformances, leading root cause analysis efforts and implementing preventive measures.

  • Ensure compliance with applicable regulatory requirements and certifications, such as ISO standards.

  • Conduct supplier audits and evaluations to assess their adherence to quality standards and drive supplier quality improvement initiatives.

  • Stay updated on industry trends and advancements in quality control methodologies, recommending and implementing best practices.

  • Lead quality-related meetings, presenting data, and providing updates to management and stakeholders.

REQUIRED COMPETENCIES

  • Strong knowledge of manufacturing processes, quality control principles, and lean manufacturing concepts.

  • Excellent leadership and team management skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire team members.

  • Solid problem-solving and decision-making abilities.

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Proficient in utilizing spreadsheet and word processing software, along with strong overall computer skills.

  • Knowledge of safety regulations and practices.

  • Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.

EXPERIENCE

  • Proven experience in quality assurance or quality control roles, preferably in a manufacturing environment.

  • Strong knowledge of quality management systems, methodologies, and tools, such as Six Sigma, Lean Manufacturing, or statistical process control.

  • Experience with quality control techniques, including inspection methods, testing procedures, and documentation requirements.

  • Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to effectively lead and motivate a team.

  • Analytical mindset with a focus on problem-solving and continuous improvement.

  • Familiarity with regulatory standards and quality certifications (e.g., ISO 9001).

  • Proficiency in using quality control software and tools.

  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining high standards of quality.

EDUCATION

Preferred:

  • High School degree or equivalent.

  • Certification in ISO, total quality management, or similar systems.

Advantageous:

  • Additional certifications related to electrical, hydraulic, mechanical, or lean manufacturing disciplines.

  • Associate degree or technical diploma in engineering, science, technology, or similar fields.

  • Bachelor's degree in quality management
