Description

PRIMARY PURPOSE

The Cleaning Room Robot Tender is responsible for supplying the cell robots and ancillary equipment with needed product and managing the downstream equipment and processes.

 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Responsible for daily and weekly inspection and cleaning of robot and ancillary equipment and cell enclosures.
  • Required to clean, change out, and inspect tools needed for production.
  • Acknowledge errors and deviations from standard and record them appropriately.
  • Work with supervisory personnel, Robotics Technician, Automation Engineer and Maintenance to resolve any errors or deviations from standards.
  • Provide consistent feedback to supervision, Robotics Technician, Engineering including the Robots Engineer on how the machine is running, anticipated issues and possible process improvements.
  • Communicate with supervision any deviations from set rates.
  • Inspect and finish completed parts for defects including, but not limited to, porosity, lack of material, or other defects.
  • Scrap and/or salvage parts by hand when necessary.
  • Load and unload parts into cell, blast machine and other ancillary equipment and machines.
  • Study work instructions to determine product specifications, tool requirements, and operational sequences.
  • As outlined in the work instructions install and changeover parts, fixtures and tooling needed to run production.
  • As outlined in work instructions for production complete production tasks on completed castings such as, but not limited to stamping of heat numbers etc.
  • Complete daily inspections on tools and equipment, filling out forms when required to do so.
  • Maintain housekeeping in the work area at the end of each shift.
  • Maintain area per established 6S standards.
  • Perform all other duties as assigned by supervisory or leadman personnel.

 

QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS

  • At least one year of experience in a manufacturing setting is preferred.
  • Must be able to under machining concepts and be able to recognize potential issues.
  • Ability to respond to machine alarms, identify issues, and resolve problems.
  • Ability to navigate operator interfaces and understand how they work.
  • Must have a basic understanding of hand tools.
  • The employee in this position must be a motivated self-starter,

 

EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS

Highschool diploma or its equivalent is preferred.
