Overview

Responsible for all aspects of division safety performance, reporting, and adherence.

 

$60K-$65K base, plus a potential bonus of up to 40%, in addition to benefits, profit-sharing, and stock awards.

Responsibilities
    • Be an active participant and leader of Take Control of Safety
    • Collaborate with management, supervisors, nurse, and other safety professionals daily to provide the most effective actions and results
    • Ensure compliance with all governmental agency requirements
    • Environmental, OSHA, Health, & Safety Recordkeeping and Reporting
    • Schedule and ensure compliance with all reviews and studies (hygiene, facility, etc)
    • Support and maintain all corporate safety initiatives and programs
    • Develop, refine, schedule, and administer specific trainings with a focus on safety
    • Perform all required new hire safety training and qualifications
    • Track and report on employee training, JSA’s, SOP’s, Safety Metrics, Intelex, ELC’s and other safety requirements.
    • Develop auditing methods to ensure compliance and eliminate drift, including frequent reviews of JSAs, SOPs, PLCs, as well as plant-wide audits and walk-throughs
    • Maintain employee certifications and schedule re-certifications (crane and forklift)
    • Participate in incident investigation related to incidents that occur within the department
    • Review and disseminate Safety Alerts in a timely manner
    • Ensure that all correct actions from a Safety Alert are pushed to completion
    • Ensure safety compliance and training for all contractors
Qualifications
    • Self-starter with a continuous improvement mindset
    • Willingness to spend a significant amount of time in the production environment
    • Travel requirements – intercompany, education, & benchmarking
    • Training and educational experience
    • Computer, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Presentation skills
    • Organization, structure, prioritization, methodical
    • Safety awareness and understanding
    • Observant, attention to details and accuracy
    • Writing skills and communication
    • Preferred Previous safety training experience – Including Take Control of Safety coach training
    • College degree
