The successful candidate will be a part of the Turbine Solutions Gas Turbine group with responsibilities including gas turbine hardware and database design, installation engineering and field support activities for Emerson power projects. The Power & Water Solutions business focuses on upgrading existing power plant systems with industry leading automation controls and instrumentation to promote sustainability and longevity of our North American power grid. This position includes aspects of project management, engineering design, system integration, testing, and commissioning services to deliver comprehensive results. You will provide technical leadership and innovative thinking to ensure customer satisfaction.

As a Senior Gas Turbine Controls Hardware Engineer you will:
  • Develop project specific control panel designs, I/O databases, and installation packages to meet customer requirements
  • Lead gas turbine design projects and collaborate with our customers to ensure quality work and an enhanced customer experience
  • Apply your expertise to mentor, instruct, and guide project team
  • Participate and support hands-on testing and on-site work at customer power plants

Required education, experience & skills:
  • A bachelor's degree in mechanical or electrical engineering or equivalent
  • A minimum of five years of related experience in control system design
  • Includes 20% travel
  • Legal authorization to work in the United States
Preferred education, experience & skills:
  • A minimum of five years of related experience in power generation and/or gas turbine control system design
Flexible Work Schedule – Remote Work Option

This role has the flexibility of a remote work option up to three days a week. Our teams work together to ensure our chosen work schedules enable our creativity and productivity as we serve the needs of our customers.
