ECHO is looking for a new Senior Inventory and Cost Accountant!  The Senior Accountant is responsible for inventory valuation, variance analysis, assisting in maintaining our cost accounting system, reporting, and gross margin analysis.

This is a hybrid position that will offer the flexibility of working from home and on-site at our Lake Zurich facility.

Senior Inventory and Cost Duties/Responsibilities: 

• Perform variance analysis and articulate variances between actual and standard cost.
• Develop and maintain material costs, labor, freight, and overhead rates.
• Analyze inventory balances and prepare reporting, analytics.
• Suggest process improvements and assist in make or buy analytics.
• Analyze gross margins, cost components, price / volume / mix.
• Key team member in system improvements, implementation, review, and approval.
• Prepare and review journal entries, account reconciliations, roll forward analytics, etc.
• Key member in internal controls, internal and external audits, documenting policies and procedures.

Senior Inventory and Cost Job Experience/Skills: 

• 3- 5 years of experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Experience with Infor XA preferred.
• Great problem solver with continuous learning mindset.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel.
• Attention to detail and focus on the accuracy of data and analysis.
• Effective communication skills.

Education: Bachelor's Degree in Accounting
