ECHO is looking for a new Senior Inventory and Cost Accountant! The Senior Accountant is responsible for inventory valuation, variance analysis, assisting in maintaining our cost accounting system, reporting, and gross margin analysis.
This is a hybrid position that will offer the flexibility of working from home and on-site at our Lake Zurich facility.

Senior Inventory and Cost Duties/Responsibilities:
- Perform variance analysis and articulate variances between actual and standard cost.
- Develop and maintain material costs, labor, freight, and overhead rates.
- Analyze inventory balances and prepare reporting, analytics.
- Suggest process improvements and assist in make or buy analytics.
- Analyze gross margins, cost components, price / volume / mix.
- Key team member in system improvements, implementation, review, and approval.
- Prepare and review journal entries, account reconciliations, roll forward analytics, etc.
- Key member in internal controls, internal and external audits, documenting policies and procedures.
Senior Inventory and Cost Job Experience/Skills:
- 3- 5 years of experience in a manufacturing environment.
- Experience with Infor XA preferred.
- Great problem solver with continuous learning mindset.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Excel.
- Attention to detail and focus on the accuracy of data and analysis.
- Effective communication skills.
Education: Bachelor's Degree in Accounting
