About the Team:
Global Procurement is responsible for sourcing of goods and services not for resale (GNFR). This responsibility spans end-to-end procurement; from collaborating with our business partners and developing requirements to negotiating with suppliers to deliver best in class supplier partnerships. Global Procurement adds value through ensuring quality and service levels are met, negotiating savings, driving innovation, adhering to compliance, and focusing on supplier diversity and sustainability. Procurement is responsible for the selection of suppliers and their overall performance on behalf of the business teams we support.
About the Position:
This is an open role for a Senior Manager I position in Global Procurement Center of Excellence & Strategy supporting the Supply Chain & Transportation categories. Reporting to Waqar Habib, Director of Global Procurement, your primary focus will be to develop and execute procurement analytics and insights across multiple categories and business units; partnering with strategic sourcing to leverage the scale of One Walmart to create and deliver value. This role requires a highly motivated and talented professional with a strong aptitude for critical thinking, problem solving and the ability to collaborate cross-functionally to create and deliver results.
Responsibilities include:
Demonstrates up-to-date expertise in business analysis and advises on the development, execution, and improvement of action plans by providing expert advice and guidance to others in the application of information and best practices; supporting and aligning efforts to meet customer and business needs; and building commitment for perspectives and rationales.
Drives data-driven analysis and insights to help support business strategies by evaluating ongoing analytical needs, collaborating with internal and external business partners to build a consistent and accurate strategy for business using data-driven insights.
Ensures business needs are met by evaluating the ongoing effectiveness of current plans, programs, and initiatives; consulting with key stakeholders; soliciting, evaluating, and applying suggestions for improving efficiency and cost-effectiveness; and participating in and supporting community events.
Provides supervision and development opportunities for associates by hiring and training; mentoring; assigning duties; providing recognition; and ensuring diversity awareness.

You will sweep us off our feet if…
Master's in Business Administration, Supply Chain, Industrial Engineering, Operations Management, Statistics, Economics or related field
Experience in sourcing & procurement, supply chain or finance
4+ years’ experience in data foraging and synthesis, analytics, and insights creation (e.g. spend analysis, TCO, should cost modeling, comparative cost analysis, etc.)
Proficiency utilizing data mining and manipulation tools (e.g. Alteryx, Tableau Data Prep, Python, SAS, MS products, etc.)
Proficiency utilizing BI Visualization Tools (e.g. Power BI, Looker, Tableau, etc.)
Category knowledge of services e.g. Over-the-Road Transportation, Ocean Freight, Air Freight, 3rd Party Logistics, Material Handling Systems and Equipment
Leadership experience
