Job Description
- Provides professional nursing care of associates through detailed preparation of injury reports, emergency response and treatment, patient education and medical case management.
- Acts as a liaison for associates for access to off-site medical services.
- Supports management of rehabilitation and return to work process and procedures.
- Management of Covid-19 screening assessments and implementation of new/revised MIOSHA and/or CDC recommendations.
- Supports workplace injury and illness prevention strategies and promotes overall wellness of associates.
- Will perform data entry, prepare reports as requested and strive to maintain department fiscal responsibility.
Qualifications
- Prefer Bachelor’s degree in Nursing and a minimum of 2 years of clinical experience or Associate’s degree in Nursing with a minimum of 5 years of clinical experience.
- Must have a current, unrestricted nursing license in the state of Michigan to practice as a Registered Nurse.
- Requires effective verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively, both autonomously and in a team environment.
- Must be self-motivated and self-directed with strong prioritization, triage and problem solving skills.
- Prefer a candidate with a Medical First Responder experience and/or experience in Emergency Department settings.
- Experience in Occupational Health and Medical Case Management would be very valuable.
- Strong computer skills in Microsoft Office applications are beneficial.
