Westlock Controls, Software Engineer, Saddle Brook, New Jersey: Responsible for planning & executing significant design & development projects for Hazardous Areas, Testing, Manufacturing, & Product Compliance. Work with relevant technologies, including ARM-Cortex-M microcontrollers, ultra-low power mixed-signal electronics, physical layers of major industrial networks. Design complex electronic hardware & firmware for: Foundation Fieldbus, Profibus DP/PA, 4-20Ma, HART, Devicenet, AS-i, Modbus, RS-485 tests. Document completion of design, testing, & other project data in accordance with ISO-9001 & Engineering Department Procedures. Must have: Bachelor's in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related field & 3 yrs of academic or work exp in each of the following: (i) coding in C++, HTML5, & JavaScript, (ii) product development utilizing hands-on debugging skills with JTAG, BDM, simulators/emulators, & Oscilloscopes, & (iii) developing firmware for complex electro-mechanical & pneumatic systems using modern 32 bit microcontrollers. Alternatively, would accept: Master's in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related field & 1 yr of academic or work exp in each of the areas above. Experience may be gained concurrently. This position is eligible for a Hybrid work arrangement, up to 2 days work-from-home, upon manager approval.
