• Support ME tasks associated with product development through standing up a low-rate production product line.
• Experienced with creating manufacturing plans, reading engineering blue prints and understanding fundamental engineering concepts for production and prototype articles.
• Experienced in using 3D modeling software, preferably CATIAV5 or 3DX.
• Capable of manipulating engineering models and designs to determine assembly sequences and approach.
• Experience in Production, Manufacturing Engineering, Quality Engineering, or related disciplines.
This team member will be a self-starter, with the ability to work independently and execute tasks under general direction, and the job will require multi-tasking and active engagement in the Production environment.
This engineer will serve as an interface between the Production organization and the Engineering community, ensuring that released engineering packages are producible and can be integrated into the Production environment.
• Understand process improvement and technology insertion to improve the build process through Producibility and Cost Reduction initiatives.
• Work in support of Production mechanics and supervisors looking for opportunities to improve the build processes, eliminate repetitive defects and drive out unnecessary cost.

This position is in Palmdale, CA Discover Palmdale.
This position offers a sign-on bonus of $20,000.00 for external candidates. If selected for this position, the sign-on bonus is subject to applicable taxes and will be processed and paid shortly after you begin employment with Lockheed Martin
Basic Qualifications
• Working knowledge of GD&T in 3D models or on blueprints.• Manufacturing Engineering Experience with fabrication and assembly in a production environment.
• Active DoD Clearance required
Desired skills
• Bachelor's degree (Mechanical Engineering, or other related technical degree)• Air Vehicle Component and Assembly/Build Floor support experience
• Problem Solving Skills - Demonstrated ability to drive issues to closure and develop workaround plans or corrective action plans
• Demonstrated ability to communicate and work effectively with internal and cross functional teams; Production, IT, Facilities, Planning and Engineering
• Robust MS Office skill set (Excel and MS Project)
• AutoCAD or Catia V5 experience
• Experience with lean manufacturing and process improvement
• Experience with Manufacturing Execution Systems (ERP4C or SAP or TeamCenter and iBASEt) in a manufacturing/production environment
• Facilities and production area stand-up to include area organization and factory flow
• Develop and execute large component move/transportation plans.

Onsite Full-time: The work associated with this position will be performed onsite at a designated Lockheed Martin facility.Work Schedule Information
Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. Pay Rate:The annual base salary range for this position in Colorado or Washington is $78,500 - $150,400. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only. Lockheed Martin considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/ training, key skills as well as market and business considerations when extending an offer.

(Washington state applicants only) Non-represented full time employees: accrue 10 hours per month of Paid Time Off (PTO); receive 40 hours of Granted PTO annually for incidental absences; receive at least 90 hours for holidays. Represented full time employees accrue 6.67 hours of PTO per month; accrue up to 52 hours of sick leave annually; receive at least 96 hours for holidays. PTO is prorated based on hours worked and start date during the calendar year.
This position is incentive plan eligible.
Premium Pay Statement
Pay Rate:The annual base salary range for this position in California or New York City is $90,200 - $170,000. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only. Lockheed Martin considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate’s work experience, education/ training, key skills as well as market and business considerations when extending an offer.
