About this role
As a digital solutions (LYNX) Product Manager, you will be supporting our parts and service contracts business via Lynx. You will be responsible for crafting the overall product vision, strategy, and roadmap for digital product solutions that resolve customers refrigerated equipment service and aftermarket problems. Responsibilities will also include: identifying market opportunities; defining customer requirements; collaborating with program management and development organization to deliver the product to market and implementing the go-to market strategy.
Key Responsibilities
- Creating a bold vision and strategy for the growth of our Services & Aftermarket business via our connected equipment technology through our digital platform
- Conducting market research and customer immersion exercises to identify and size future opportunities for our parts and service contracts business
- Assessing market segments of interest and analyzing the competitive landscape.
- Delivering customer-centric, market driven strategies to ensure we meet goals for customer engagement, revenue, and retention
- Defining strategic opportunities for large-scale product partnerships/alliances with external/internal parties/vendors
- Developing go-to-market strategies to take products from ideation to scale
- Collaborating with data analytics team to develop products that address customers’ problems
- Near term TTI deliverable to support initial phase of eCare development.
Basic Qualifications
- BS or MS in Computer Science or Engineering
- 5+ years of experience in Product Management
- 5+ years of experience in transportation & logistics (TMS, WMS, FMS)
Preferred Qualifications
Other qualifications you may have that would be beneficial in this role include:
- 10+ years of professional work experience preferred
- Experience working in the aftermarket parts, warranty, or service contract business, and launching new aftermarket products or services a plus
- Experience with product lifecycle management and software development lifecycle
- Knowledge of IoT, including sensors, connectivity, cloud, analytics, and user interfaces
- Excellent communication skills with ability to influence key stakeholders.
- Excellent leadership skills in managing product development in global cross functional matrixed organization.
- Experience with Lean, Agile, Scrum, SAFe frameworks
- Travel on an as needed basis (up to 20-30% of the time)
- The incumbent is responsible for complying with UTC’s “Code of Ethics,” the “Policy Statement on Business Ethics and Conduct
