Department Overview:

Pratt & Whitney is a world leader in aircraft engines and auxiliary power units. We are a global leader in aviation propulsion, and we are behind many of the major advances in both military and commercial engines. We design, manufacture and service aircraft engines, auxiliary and ground power units, and small turbojet propulsion products. Do you have the experience to join us and our Team?

Pratt & Whitney's North Berwick Engineering Center, located in beautiful Southern Maine, is currently seeking a talented and dedicated Integrated Project Team (IPT) Lead / Project Engineer with the creativity, drive, and desire to see their ideas become a reality.

Key Responsibilities:

You will apply Project Engineering skills to support activities and technologies related to commercial and military gas turbine hardware. Hardware responsibilities include components found in the compressor, turbine, and bearing compartments.

You will work with the Hot Section Engineering (HSE) Organization to support and lead cross-functional teams responsible for the design, fabrication, and repair of Turbines section hardware.

Other activities include: detailed task planning and tracking, budget management and ownership, earned value management (EVMS) - coordinating Operations and manufacturing teams, integration of technologies into product lines, participating in investigations and corrective actions.

You are self-motivated and willing to take on challenging initiatives. •You have a record of achieving objectives within schedule and budget constraints, and driving continuous improvement is highly valued.

You have proven leadership skills.

You are a team player who also works well independently and will be highly adaptable to changing business needs.

Basic Qualifications:

BS in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering

5 years experience in a related field or 3 years experience with an Advanced degree.

Fluent in English (verbal/written)

U.S citizenship is required due to government program requirements.

Preferred Qualifications:

Preferred candidates will have a good understanding of manufacturing processes, aerospace design methods and procedures, and continuous improvement tools.

Experience in a program environment related to hardware design and development.
