Position Summary...
What you'll do...

You will serve as one of the team’s senior technical leads and drive technical and operational strategy for data loss prevention and unstructured data scanning, classification, and remediation by utilizing data loss prevention and other solutions in accordance with internal policies. You will drive scripting, automation, and security orchestration and response initiatives for the area. You will also help collaborate and build relationships with internal InfoSec functional areas, Infrastructure, Data Governance, Privacy and other business areas to align with security, data, and privacy frameworks, initiatives, and policies.

What you'll do:

You will serve as one of the team’s senior technical leads and drive technical and operational strategy for data loss prevention and unstructured data scanning, classification, and remediation by utilizing data loss prevention and other solutions in accordance with internal policies. You will drive scripting, automation, and security orchestration and response initiatives for the area. You will also help collaborate and build relationships with internal InfoSec functional areas, Infrastructure, Data Governance, Privacy and other business areas to align with security, data, and privacy frameworks, initiatives, and policies. You will assist in finding ways to leverage information to influence business decisions at all levels by distilling data usage and exposure analysis and trends into actionable insights. You will utilize industry research to improve Walmart’s technology environment by analyzing industry best practices and benchmarking internal processes and solutions against industry. Lead security analysis utilizing trends, threat analysis, and current business understanding. From this analysis diagnose or make architectural recommendations for security improvements and risk mitigation. You will have the opportunity to protect the data of millions of customers, associates, and Walmart’s ever-expanding infrastructure across the globe.



What you'll bring:

  • Proven experience developing relationships across business areas, driving technical initiatives, and communicating with stakeholders.
  • Demonstrated experience with scripting and automation for IT and/or security
  • Consulting or engineering experience in the development and implementation of security and/or information technology solutions
  • Strong understanding of information technology and/or cybersecurity principles along with a security mindset.
  • Self-motivated, ability to raise innovative ideas, and a heightened sense of urgency.
  • Strong analytical, verbal, and written communication skills. Critical thinking skills and ability to troubleshoot problems to understand root causes.
  • Ability to mentor and develop team members
  • Curious mindset
