Systems Administrator - COMSEC - TS/SCI

As a part of KBR’s Intel group, you work on some of the toughest, most interesting problems, and work with some of the top experts in the industry.

In this SETA role, you use your expertise to perform Systems Administration for a COMSEC group at the National Reconnaissance Office (NRO) in the Communications (COMM) Directorate.

A Systems Engineering Technical Advisor (SETA) provides technical expertise to the Government. By working hand-in-hand with your Government customer, you’ll have the opportunity to influence mission success to a greater degree than anywhere else. If you want a job where you do the same thing every day, this job is not for you. You’ll troubleshoot a problem one day and advise the customer on implementation the next.

Responsibilities may include:

  • Perform and document hardware, software, firmware testing & upgrades

  • Troubleshoot & Resolve technical issues & anomalies

  • Perform and document scheduled maintenance, including patches & hotfixes

  • Assess vulnerability, document, and mitigate

  • Help users with requests (permissions, access, etc.)

  • Make recommendations for future systems

Qualifications:

  • 3+ years’ experience as a System Administrator

  • Superb communication skills

  • TS/SCI with Poly

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Military / DOD / IC space and ground experience

  • AA or BS in STEM degree

  • Certification IAW NRO Directive 50-05, information Assurance Workforce Enhancement Program (IAWEp) category information Assurance Technical level ll (lAT ll) is desired (but not expected).
