As a Systems Engineer, you will:
• Lead the effort to update the HyperSonic Missile System to by overseeing incorporation of planned system upgrades and improvements, and manage the Missile design baseline.
• This position will cover all aspects of the design life cycle (proposal, baselining, execution, risk management and contract deliverables).
• Work alongside LM counterparts, government customers, sub-contractors and government labs to provide fully integrated solutions at various technical reviews (SRR, PDR, CDR, etc.).
• Provide the interface between the CPS Flight Systems Program Office and the technical community to increase effectiveness, improve efficiency, and enhance value within the CPS program.
• Ensure the logical and systematic conversion of customer and/or product requirements into total systems solutions that acknowledge technical, schedule, and cost constraints.
• Support decomposition and allocation of system upgrade and improvement requirements into the requirements baseline, and ensure proper requirement mapping to design configuration elements.
• Drive modernization efforts in Systems Engineering, helping to develop and execute the implementation of MBSE products and processes, and by partnering with MBE and Architecture teams to define plans and roadmaps
• Ability to travel domestically approximately 25% of the time.

Successful candidates typically have 5-9 years of experience and a bachelor's degree.

Basic Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college in an Engineering, technical or related discipline

• Background in Systems Engineering/Integration, Product Team project leadership, and/or program management

• Understanding of Model Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) processes, principles and tools

• Ability to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret security clearance (U.S. Citizenship Required)

Desired skills

• CPS or other large missile system experience in a technical and/or programmatic role

• Current or Active DoD Secret Clearance with an ability to obtain a DoD Top Secret Clearance

• Experience working with government labs (e.g. Sandia National Laboratory)

• Proposal/Basis Of Estimate (BOE) development

• Technical Integration

• Integrated Master Schedule (IMS) development and Control Account Management (CAM) Experience

Ability to work remotely

Part-time Remote Telework: The employee selected for this position will work part of their work schedule remotely and part of their work schedule at a designated Lockheed Martin facility. The specific weekly schedule will be discussed during the hiring process.

Work Schedule Information

Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.

Security Clearance Information

This position requires a government security clearance, you must be a US Citizen for consideration.

Colorado Pay Statement

Pay Rate:
The annual base salary range for this position in Colorado or Washington is $106,400 - $203,900 . Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only. Lockheed Martin considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/ training, key skills as well as market and business considerations when extending an offer.

(Washington state applicants only) Non-represented full time employees: accrue 10 hours per month of Paid Time Off (PTO); receive 40 hours of Granted PTO annually for incidental absences; receive at least 90 hours for holidays. Represented full time employees accrue 6.67 hours of PTO per month; accrue up to 52 hours of sick leave annually; receive at least 96 hours for holidays. PTO is prorated based on hours worked and start date during the calendar year.

This position is incentive plan eligible.

Premium Pay Statement

Pay Rate:
The annual base salary range for this position in California or New York City is $122,300 - $230,500 . Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only. Lockheed Martin considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate’s work experience, education/ training, key skills as well as market and business considerations when extending an offer.
