As an FBM Systems Engineer, you will:
• Perform Systems Engineering functions in support of the U.S. Trident II (D5) Fleet Ballistic Missile (FBM) Life Extension 2 (LE2) Program.
• Support the Missile Data Bus and Test Missile Kit Integrated Project Teams (IPTs).
• Ensure system requirements are properly flowed to Avionics subsystems as Avionics concepts are developed.
• Support the Electronics Parts Working Group and the Avionics Working group.
• Assist Avionics subsystems engineers develop subsystem requirements and allocate functions to packages.
YOU WILL TYPICALLY HAVE:
• 5+ years of professional experience for this role.
• Willing and able to obtain and maintain a DoD Top Secret clearance, thus US Citizenship is required.
Basic Qualifications
• Bachelor's degree in Electrical or Aerospace Engineering or related Engineering degree or related equivalent experience.• Knowledge of Systems Engineering processes and Systems Integration functions which may include:
a.) System trade studies and/or System modeling
b.) Requirements and Interface Control Document (ICD) development
c.) System Integration, Test and/or Verification
d.) Test planning and execution with an understanding of all the interdependencies
e.) Design reviews
• Ability and desire to obtain a Top Secret clearance which requires US Citizenship.
Desired skills
• Experience with spacecraft/missile design, development, integration, or test, with knowledge of space, missile and launch systems at the component through system level• Experience with Avionics subsystems
• Experience defining and documenting system requirements
• Experience with MBE/MBSE concepts and tools
• Experience Electrical engineering simulation tools (e.g. SPICE, etc) and/or with software tools for performing electrical engineering and mathematical analyses (e.g. MATLAB, etc)
• Experience coordinating with multiple engineering fields (Mechanical, Electrical, Systems, Flight Sciences, Materials, Manufacturing, Test, etc.)
• Proven track record of good judgment and programmatic execution vital to meet technical requirements while balancing schedules and budget obligations
• Demonstrated behaviors of a systems thinker; selects and applies appropriate systems thinking skills to solve very complex problems and implement constructive change
• Experience working with Navy customer (or other government entity).

Part-time Remote Telework: The employee selected for this position will work part of their work schedule remotely and part of their work schedule at a designated Lockheed Martin facility. The specific weekly schedule will be discussed during the hiring process.Work Schedule Information
Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.Security Clearance Information

Pay Rate:The annual base salary range for this position in Colorado or Washington is $82,200 - $157,500. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only. Lockheed Martin considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/ training, key skills as well as market and business considerations when extending an offer.

(Washington state applicants only) Non-represented full time employees: accrue 10 hours per month of Paid Time Off (PTO); receive 40 hours of Granted PTO annually for incidental absences; receive at least 90 hours for holidays. Represented full time employees accrue 6.67 hours of PTO per month; accrue up to 52 hours of sick leave annually; receive at least 96 hours for holidays. PTO is prorated based on hours worked and start date during the calendar year.
This position is incentive plan eligible.
Premium Pay Statement
Pay Rate:The annual base salary range for this position in California or New York City is $94,500 - $178,000. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only. Lockheed Martin considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate’s work experience, education/ training, key skills as well as market and business considerations when extending an offer.
