Systems Engineer III – Test Operations

As part of a diverse and hardworking team of technicians and engineers you will be responsible for coordinating requirements, customers, and end-product testing for Blue Origin’s programs at our Orbital Launch Site in Florida. You will share in the team’s impact on all aspects of world class testing of Blue Origin’s products.
Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with Customer teams to establish test requirements
- Contribute or lead trade studies to identify test locations and techniques
- Develop concept of operations for tests, including identification of transport, handling, and other test support equipment
- Coordinate, plan, schedule, and status the use of test assets and resources
- Coordinate with the Test Operations and Customer teams on the approach for test instrumentation and control
- Participate in the conduct of test readiness, risk, and safety reviews
- Validate test objectives, and support Customer teams with verification activities
This role functions similarly to an integrated product team lead responsible for coordination across internal customers, design, procurement, operations, and maintenance organizations.
This position will directly impact the history of space exploration and will require your dedicated commitment and detailed attention towards safe and repeatable spaceflight.

Qualifications:
- Excellent communication skills, ability to work effectively in an integrated product team environment.
- 5+ years Aerospace/Aeronautical/Marine engineering experience (or other large integrated systems)
- Experience in processing engineering and programmatic change implementation.
- Self-directed and balance several tasks at one time
- Minimum of a B.S. degree in engineering or other technical field
- Ability to earn trust, maintain positive and professional relationships, and contribute to a culture of inclusion
- Must be a U.S. citizen or national, U.S. permanent resident (current Green Card holder), or lawfully admitted into the U.S. as a refugee or granted asylum.
Desired:
- Knowledge of current systems engineering and integration tools and methodologies
- 10+ years system development/integration experience – preferably with aerospace systems
- 10+ years aerospace testing experience – preferably fluid, engine, or integrated vehicle
- Familiarity with configuration and data management software (Windchill, DOORS, or JAMA)
- Knowledge of collaboration tools such as Confluence and JIRA
- Experience in reliability, maintainability, and supportability analysis and execution
