Lockheed Martin is looking for a dedicated Systems Engineering Manager to join the team in Sunnyvale, California.
In this role, you will be responsible for managing the Space Vehicle System Engineering (SVSE) Requirements and Verification (R&V) activities, Vehicle CONOPS, Anomaly Detection and Resolution (ADR), and Mission Payload Interfaces. This opportunity will provide you with a chance to challenge the status quo and experiment with new digital tools and emerging technologies that transform our mission.
In this role, you will manage:
• Requirements and Verification
• Ownership of Specifications (Spacecraft Bus Spec, Environmental Spec, etc.)
• Ownership of Technical Approval Board Process (Engineering Review Board, Architecture Board, etc.)
• Major program reviews including, but not limited to Ship Readiness Review (SRR), Mission Success Consent to Ship Review (MSCSR), and Pre-Ship Review (PSR)
• Space Vehicle Concept Of Operations (CONOPS)
• Telemetry Event Macro Activation (TEMA/MACROs)
• Mission Payload Interface Control Documents (ICDs)
• Coordination of Model Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) interfaces with other functional organizations
• DOORS
• Travel occasionally as needed to achieve program goals

Basic Qualifications
• Bachelors degree in an Engineering or closely related field• Systems Engineering process experience across the complete program lifecycle
• Proven application of systems engineering functions including the following:
a) System trade studies and/or System modeling
b) Requirements and Verification
c) Major program reviews such as SRR, PDR, CDR, CIR, TRR, MSCSR, and PSR
• System design and test experience with one or more subsystems or fields outside of Systems Engineering (e.g., GN&C, Payloads, Propulsion, Software, Mechanical, etc.)
• Active DoD Secret clearance
Desired skills
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a demonstrated ability to interact effectively with customers, management, and peers• Ability to brief audiences (large and small) of varying technical knowledge and demonstrated experience leading a team and/or coordinating complex activities
• Positive attitude, accountable, and responsible with ability to work in a team-focused, dynamic environment
• Space/satellite program systems engineering and integration experience (minimum 5 years)
• Space or missile design and test experience with one or more subsystems or fields outside of Systems Engineering
• Recognized as an authority in systems thinking techniques with the demonstrated ability to apply them to a wide range of complex problems and train others in their application
• Masters Degree in an engineering related field
• Design Integration experience with the LM 2100 platform
• Working knowledge of DOORS
• Experience managing requirements and verification for large complex systems
• Cost Account Management and/or Earned Value Management experience
• Active TS/SCI security clearance

Onsite Full-time: The work associated with this position will be performed onsite at a designated Lockheed Martin facility.Work Schedule Information
Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.Security Clearance Information
This position requires a government security clearance, you must be a US Citizen for consideration.Colorado Pay Statement
Pay Rate:The annual base salary range for this position in Colorado or Washington is $118,100 - $226,400. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only. Lockheed Martin considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/ training, key skills as well as market and business considerations when extending an offer.

(Washington state applicants only) Non-represented full time employees: accrue 10 hours per month of Paid Time Off (PTO); receive 40 hours of Granted PTO annually for incidental absences; receive at least 90 hours for holidays. Represented full time employees accrue 6.67 hours of PTO per month; accrue up to 52 hours of sick leave annually; receive at least 96 hours for holidays. PTO is prorated based on hours worked and start date during the calendar year.
This position is incentive plan eligible.
Premium Pay Statement
Pay Rate:The annual base salary range for this position in California or New York City is $135,800 - $256,000. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only. Lockheed Martin considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate’s work experience, education/ training, key skills as well as market and business considerations when extending an offer.
