The In Plant Support Assistant position exists to input customer and job data to accelerate the processing of jobs through the In Plant. Requires accurate typing and transfer of information into the software package, to allow faster growth and greater outreach to potential customers. This position further supports the ministry-wide print needs through data and direct interaction for all contracted print devices.
Essential Duties/Responsibilities:
Production:
Collects and/or distributes job tickets to the production floor
Inputs production data into the In-Plant Management Information System (MIS)
Interacts with Scheduler and Floor Leads to ensure data is complete
Reconcilesdata to make sure all positions and job steps have been completed, comparing quote to accounting entry and ensuring completion
Updates Job Tickets to reflect actual work preformed
Sales Support:
Assists with gathering information for quotes and future job considerations
Writes letters, emails, or interacts by phone with customers and staff to facilitate accurate, quality outcomes in the In Plant
Increases job ticket accuracy and information allowing for maximum performance by production staff
Keeps customer information up to date
Copier/Printer Support:
Sets up PINs and passwords for Multi-Functional Print Devices (MFDs) as part of the Onboarding process
Programs printers and maintains database for effective use of MFDs for all employees
Responds to PIN requests by both users and IT
Does preliminary maintenance to include paper jams, replenish paper and toner for all MFDs
Contacts vendor for all higher-level maintenance needs and schedules service
Reports usage to vendor when automation fails, or device is offline
Polls all devices monthly and compiles all user data for billing and submits data to accounting

Contributes toward meeting predetermined performance objectives
Remains flexible and willing to work anywhere with any team member when there is a need
Remains dependable and punctual, has a good attendance record
Other Duties/Responsibilities:
All In Plant Staff have cross training opportunities and are expected to engage in non-specialized work in other areas. This includes shipping, manufacturing, and take-off any other production machine
Performs other duties as assigned
Working Environment/Physical Requirements:
Must be able to pass a Post Offer Prehire Physical exam
Noise from various mail/material-handling machines
Fumes from forklift exhaust
Dust associated with mail and packing materials
Lifting and carrying of material up to 60 pounds
Must be able to push/pull 50lbs
Must be able to stand 6 - 8 hours/day
Must be able to bend, crouch, squat, crawl, kneel, balance, and reach above head
Requires repetitive tasks/motions, good eye-hand-foot coordination, and good manual dexterity
Must be able to hear alarms/phone/normal speaking voice

Knowledge/Experience:
High School Diploma or equivalent
1-2 years of Material Handling experience
Possesses the ability to identify logical steps in a process
Knowledge of software applications including, Accura (MIS), MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Access)

Requires coordination sufficient to operate various machines
Ability to function in a team environment with ability to encourage other team members

Pay Range: $17.00 to $19.75/hr
