Job Description

We are looking for candidates with strong electrical and optical skills to join our production test team supporting the next generation of high energy laser systems. Our Test Technicians perform a variety of tasks to validate, troubleshoot and adjust the products we build to deliver the highest standard of quality equipment into the hands of the warfighter.

What You Will Do:

• Use detailed work instructions to perform a variety of optical and electrical tests, fiber splicing, and alignment of optical equipment

• Perform troubleshooting and failure analysis of units in test; collaborate with test engineers, design engineers, and manufacturing engineers

• Document test results and failures, providing adequate information to meet requirements

** Must be able to work occasional overtime during the week or on weekends to support customer demands.
Basic Qualifications
• Understanding of the theory and the application of scientific and engineering methods.

• Proficiency in application and interpretation of complex specifications, schematics, requirements, standards, and practices

• Experience with optical alignment and knowledge of spectroscopy/Spectrometers

• Ability to use computers and software applications to assist in job execution
Desired skills
* Associate's degree (A.A) or equivalent in science and technology from two year college or technical school in electronics, optics, physics or related scientific instrumentation

Ability to work remotely
Onsite Full-time: The work associated with this position will be performed onsite at a designated Lockheed Martin facility.
Work Schedule Information
Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.

This position requires a government security clearance, you must be a US Citizen for consideration.

Pay Rate:
In compliance with Colorado’s Equal Pay for Equal Work Act, the annual base salary range for this position is $48,200 - $80,400 . Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only. Lockheed Martin considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate’s work experience, education/training, key skills, internal peer equity, as well as, market and business considerations when extending an offer.
Premium Pay Statement
Pay Rate:
The annual base salary range for this position in California or New York City is $48,200 - $95,800 . Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only. Lockheed Martin considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate’s work experience, education/ training, key skills as well as market and business considerations when extending an offer.
