Test Technician

Position involves the electrical testing of wire, components, cable and assemblies in various stages of production and as finished product. The work involves use of high potential voltage AC and DC test equipment, as well as various types of electrical bridges, meters, and fiber optic test sets. An electrical background, vocational or military service training in the electrical field, or the equivalent in experience is preferred. Job involves all aspects of testing and final inspection.
Must be able to work with minimal supervision and to follow written instruction and schedules; must have basic math skills and ability to use SAP and SAP Quality Management programs. Must have good English language verbal and written communication skills and work as part of team; must be capable of lifting or moving 50 lbs. and occasionally lifting or moving 75 lbs.; ability to distinguish colors. Will be required to work overtime during peak times and at month's end; Must be highly aware of Safety Procedures and maintain test area in a safe and orderly condition at all times. Will perform preventative maintenance procedures, 5S activities and continuous improvement programs as required. Performs other duties as required and directed by Supervisor.
