TBEI, Inc., one of the largest truck manufacturers in North America, is currently seeking to fill Truck Installation Technician roles in our Lake Crystal, MN facility.

The Truck Installation Technician is an integral part of our team ensuring appropriate installation of wiring, hydraulics, PTO's and pumps on our trucks.

Responsibilities: 

• Layout, wiring and mounting of custom truck bodies on trucks.
• Setting up and operating machines that will cut, bend, saw and punch steel into custom parts for body mounting.
• Completing mechanics work such as working with hydraulics and mount PTO (power take offs) and pumps.

Requirements:

• Basic math knowledge and skill to allow for ability to set up and operate machines accurately and measure and problem solve.
• Experience with hand plasma and wire feed welding preferred.
• One to two years experience in installation or related vehicle experience highly desired.
• Ability to work in a heavy industrial atmosphere including exposure to grease, oil, heat, humidity, occasionally cramped quarters, and possibly wet conditions.
• Ability to manually move product and materials up to 50 pounds through physical exertion or overhead hoist, including, but not limited to:  lifting, carrying, pushing, pulling, bending and stooping.
• Ability to stand and work on concrete for several hours at a time.
• Ability to work in a variety of positions, including, but not limited to:  kneeling, crouching, bending, stooping, twisting, turning and climbing.
• Ability to reach job specifications to determine material layouts, machine adjustments, complicated instructions, blueprints and measuring devices.
• Ability to perform basic computer data entry.
• Basic understanding of hydraulics, PTO, frames, pumps, electrical controls and wiring.
