POSITION SUMMARY:
The Machine Operator operates various processing equipment for continuous and efficient production of high quality flatbread products.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Prepares for start-up or shut down of equipment as required
Responsible for inspecting areas of responsibility for possible foreign material issues and promptly notifies Supervisor and QC of any contamination
Maintains accurate records on log sheets and in a computer-based system
Responsible for operating all equipment between the mixer and the cooling room to obtain a continuous product quality that adheres to customer specifications.
Responsible for monitoring and adjusting unit weights, measurements and other required checks
Responsible for assisting blender operator as needed. Must be able to monitor the line while the blender operator is on break
Perform any other work as assigned by supervisor
Comply with all safety, food safety, GMP and SQF Requirements
Must perform all positions of rotation, if applicable
REQUIREMENTS:
Ability to flex/grip with wrists/hands
Walking, bending, standing, climbing steps and lifting of up to 50 lbs. on a frequent basis
Required to use and read scales, stopwatch, thermometers, PH meter and moisture analyzer
Ability to perform basic math functions (adding, subtracting, multiplying, etc.) with use of calculator
In order to be eligible for consideration you must have:
Must have operator experience listed in the work history section or the skills section of the application.
Must have 6 months’ work history in the past 3 years to be considered.
Must not have been terminated from a previous employer for attendance or job abandonment.
Must be available to work overtime and weekends.
