Purpose of Position: 

This position will be responsible for implementing direction and/or instructions provided by the Warehouse Manager.  In this role, will also supervise the daily activities of assigned Warehouse Assistants, and will ensure that all procedures are followed according to company policies and practices.      

 Accountabilities:

• Pull orders for outbound deliveries and load trucks as directed.       
• Unload inbound product and check product condition to ensure proper quality and accurate counts.         
• Follow up on product quality as directed by the Manager, and adjust conditions as directed.
• Check outbound product quality, and review any issues with the Operations Manager prior to dispatch.      
• Receive incoming products and ship outgoing products in ProducePro (Inventory System).
• Take daily inventory of products to ensure the accuracy of counts and the proper rotation of products at the coolers to ensure FIFO.
• Program the gassing of Avocados according to customer requirements and the proper rotation of avocado lots to ensure FIFO or defined prioritization.  
• 5 to 6 day work week, including weekends depending on needed coverage.  
• Ensure that the warehouse cleanliness and sanitation is maintained at all times.   
• Discuss any operational issues with the Operations Manager to determine appropriate resolutions.
• Perform special tasks as assigned.

Minimum Skills Required:

• High School Diploma or equivalent, from an accredited institution.  
• Must be certified to operate forklift and pallet jack.
• Knowledge of Microsoft Office programs (i.e. Excel, Word, Outlook, etc.).
• Strong attention to detail and ability to multi-task.      
• Excellent communication skills
